Position Overview

We are partnered with a manufacturer in Mooresville, NC that is seeking a skilled Controls Engineer to design, program, and maintain control systems for their machinery. This position will play a critical role in developing automation solutions and ensuring optimal machine performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and program PLCs, HMIs, and motion control systems (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
• Create electrical schematics using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
• Develop and troubleshoot industrial communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet, Modbus).
• Test, diagnose, and resolve control system issues during development and installation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide technical support during commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in controls engineering or automation.
• Proficiency in PLC programming.
• Experience with CAD tools for electrical schematics (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical).
• Strong knowledge of motion control, servo systems, and industrial sensors.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively.
