Position Summary
Join Client as a Licensed Master Electrician in Louisa County, IA, where you’ll play a critical role in maintaining operational efficiency and safety. This role involves performing all electrical functions, troubleshooting, and repair work while providing technical support for various operational phases.
This position requires flexibility, as shifts start at 5 AM with occasional late-night availability and weekend work to meet project demands.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform all electrical functions, including troubleshooting and repairs for industrial systems.
- Provide technical support for all phases of operations.
- Maintain and repair systems such as electrical controls, fluid power, mechanical systems, and manufacturing processes.
- Work with electrical control panels, transformers, power distribution systems, motors, and motor control devices.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, including food safety and quality.
- Collaborate with contractors and oversee project execution to ensure timelines and standards are met.
Required Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 4 years in industrial maintenance and electrical controls.
Certification: Valid electrician’s license as per state or local regulations.
Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
- Associate degree in electronic technology or related technical field preferred.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., skilled trade programs, military training).
Technical Skills:
- Expertise in AC/DC circuits, industrial electrical systems, and electrical safety (lockout/tagout).
- Proficiency in PLC systems and data collection instrumentation.
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic/pneumatic systems and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical construction practices.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of servo motor and drive technologies (e.g., encoders, tachometers, closed-loop systems).
- Basic understanding of microcomputer systems and their integration with industrial controls.
- Experience managing electrical projects, including writing project scopes and ensuring compliance with NEC standards.
- Familiarity with Tyson Standards and Instrumentation.
