Roles and responsibilities:
The EPC Site Coordinator ensures that site activities run smoothly, with a focus on claims management, documentation, and compliance, while supporting the Erection Supervisor in achieving project goals.
Claims Prevention and Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for verifying and validating claims from the erection company or the customer. Investigate and document claims, ensuring evidence is collected and reported to the Project Manager before further escalation. Keep accurate, detailed records of on-site events to counter potential disputes.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain a comprehensive site journal, documenting work progress, key events, and deviations from the plan. Prepare technical reports to keep stakeholders informed and ensure project transparency.
On-Site Support and Compliance
- Conduct pre-installation site inspections and oversee material receiving inspections, reporting discrepancies to the project team. Act as a liaison between the customer, the erection team, and the head office to ensure seamless communication.
Risk Mitigation and Oversight
- Monitor potential risks related to quality, safety, and timelines, escalating issues to the Erection Supervisor or Project Manager as needed. Support the Erection Supervisor in resolving on-site challenges without duplicating tasks.
Skills and Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of EPC erection activities
- In-depth understanding of quality, health, safety, and environmental standards applicable to EPC projects.
- Proficient in technical drawing interpretation, including plant schematics.
- Proven ability to monitor and document complex site activities, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
