Position Overview:

Seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Electrical Designer to join the team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in the design and development of electrical systems for a variety of projects, including commercial, residential, and industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed electrical designs, including layouts, schematics, and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure designs meet client requirements and standards.
• Perform calculations for load analysis, circuit sizing, and energy efficiency.
• Prepare and review construction documents and ensure compliance with local codes and regulations.
• Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit) for drafting and design tasks.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Support project delivery from concept through construction, addressing any technical challenges.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical design (building systems experience preferred).
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred).
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and BC building codes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
