Pay Rate: $50 - $70 per hourly
Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed equipment engineering for network augments. This includes eNSE hub migrations, developing all of the specifications required for network assurance to properly turn-up, inventory, and configure the equipment, obtaining appropriate management approvals, issuing purchase orders, creating applicable diagrams/ drawings, and ensuring vendor delivery.
• Ensure that work meets all applicable engineering, financial, planning, and operational standards.
• Manage, input, and update central Network Inventory Database to reflect new builds, adds, and decommissions.

Must Have Skills
Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in configuring and managing N Service Routers (e.g., 7750 SR, 7705 SAR, 7210 SAS).
• In-depth knowledge of N Service Router Operating System (SR OS).
• Experience with routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, and Segment Routing.
• Understanding of IP/MPLS networks, VPN technologies (L2VPN, L3VPN), and traffic engineering concepts.

Network Management & Tools:

• Familiarity with N Network Services Platform (NSP) for network automation and management.
• Experience in network monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization using tools like Wireshark or other network analyzers.

Scripting and Automation:

• Knowledge of Python, Perl, or other scripting languages for network automation and configuration.
• Understanding of APIs (e.g., RESTCONF, NETCONF) for automated provisioning and management.

Project and Documentation Skills:

• Ability to implement router configurations in large-scale projects.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining detailed network diagrams and documentation.

Experience Level:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in configuring and managing N routers in an enterprise, telecom, or ISP environment.

Other Requirements:

• Understanding of QoS policies, security configurations (ACLs, IPsec), and network redundancy protocols (e.g., VRRP).
• Familiarity with software upgrades and hardware lifecycle management of N router platforms.

Willingness to work flexible hours or be on-call for network emergencies.

• Ability to implement fault-tolerant and high-availability configurations.

Communication and Teamwork:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and documenting solutions.
• Experience working in multi-vendor environments and coordinating with other network engineers and stakeholders.

Education/Certifications:
Certifications (Preferred Not Required):

• N Network Routing Specialist (NRS I or II).
• N Service Routing Architect (SRA) or equivalent certifications.
