*Job Title:* Registered Nurse

*Pay Rate:* $35 to $53.75 Per Hour



*Responsibilities:*

· *Preoperative Duties:* Assess patient conditions and review preoperative assessments.

Educate patients and families about the surgical process and postoperative care.

Prepare the operating room with necessary surgical instruments, sterile linens, and supplies.

Verify patient identification, surgical procedure, and site with the surgical team.

· *Intraoperative Duties: *Assist in positioning the patient for surgery.

Maintain a sterile environment to prevent infections.

Assist surgeons by passing instruments and supplies during the procedure.

Monitor the patient's vital signs and communicate any concerns to the surgical team.

Manage specimens taken for laboratory analysis.

· *Postoperative Duties:* Transfer patients to the recovery room and provide hand-off reports to recovery room staff.

Monitor patients for any signs of complications post-surgery.

Provide postoperative care instructions to patients and their families.

Document all aspects of patient care in the medical records.

· *Team Collaboration:* Work collaboratively with the surgical team and other healthcare professionals.

Participate in surgical team briefings and debriefings.

Ensure all surgical procedures comply with hospital policies and regulatory standards.

· *Equipment and Inventory Management:* Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning correctly.

Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and instruments.

Coordinate with the supply chain department for ordering necessary materials.



*Requirements:*

· BLS Certificate

· IL Registered Nurse State License
