Job Summary
The Manufacturing Technician 4 is responsible for supporting operational functions, providing technical guidance, assisting with process improvements, and contributing to departmental projects to meet company objectives. The role involves operating various machines, including reactors, industrial centrifuges, and dryers, while adhering to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
•Operate powered industrial equipment, Reactor systems, industrial centrifuges, dryers, ion exchange columns, and DCS systems
•Support and assist supervisors in maintaining workflow within the department
•Provide training and guidance to new personnel as required
•Participate in and lead process improvement initiatives, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
•Communicate operational status to shift supervision and ensure work continuity
•Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment
•Adhere to health and safety guidelines, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
•Demonstrate effective problem-solving and team-building skills
•Ensure exemplary attendance and adherence to schedules
Required Qualifications
•AA in life sciences or a high school diploma with chemical coursework and relevant experience
•2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
•Ability to operate various manufacturing equipment such as reactor systems, centrifuges, and ion exchange columns
•Proficiency in SAP, Word, Excel, and Access
•Strong verbal and written communication skills
•Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities
•Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
•Ability to lift up to 55 pounds while wearing PPE
Preferred Qualifications
•Previous experience with GMP and chemical manufacturing processes
•Knowledge of product flow throughout the manufacturing process
Certifications
•OSHA or relevant safety certifications (preferred)
