Job Title: Paralegal - Probate and Trust & Estate Planning
A prestigious law firm seeks a legal assistant for their Coral Gables office with the following experience:
- 5 to 10 years of legal experience in trusts and estates preferred, but not required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in technology including the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), Nitro/Adobe, transcription software, and time management system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with firm associates, attorneys, paralegals, and legal secretaries to achieve a smooth workflow for attorney's files.
- Provide administrative support for multiple attorneys and paralegals, including document revision, drafting correspondence, preparing documents for court, and electronic filing.
- Act as a witness and/or notary and manage document distribution and safekeeping.
- Maintain attorney calendars and schedule meetings, phone calls, hearings, and tasks.
- Communicate by phone and email with clients, attorneys, and other professionals as needed.
- Input attorney time into billing software.
- Organize and maintain digital client files.
- Transcribe dictation.
- Assist with office-wide scanning of paper files. Perform other related duties as assigned.
