Cleaning and maintaining animal enclosures in a sanitary manner.Ensuring overall shelter organization and cleanliness throughout the day.Keeping outside walkways and runs clean.Assisting the public with animal surrenders, locating lost pets, and selecting pets for adoption.Reading and completing adoption contracts, registration cards, cage/kennel cards, and medical sheets.Performing general math calculations as needed.Requirements:

Experience in animal care or a closely related field.At least 6 months of experience volunteering or working in an animal shelter, rescue, pet store, zoo, wildlife rehabilitation center, or pet sitting for multiple clients.Ability to stand for long periods, bend, crouch, kneel repeatedly, and lift/carry a minimum of 50 pounds.Comfort with the possibility of participating in end-of-life care, including euthanasia when necessary.

Schedule: 8A-5P - scheduled Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Sunday, 40 hours per week. Hours may require additional flexibility, nights, holidays and weekends
