Vaco is seeking a talented Accounting Specialist professional for a client located in Lake Forest, CA. n
nThe Accounting Specialist will support the financial operations of the company by performing various administrative and clerical tasks related to accounting procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a basic understanding of accounting principles. The Accounting Assistant will work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

General Accountabilities n
n - Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, AR collections, payment processing, reconciliations and etc.n
- Monitor accounts receivable aging, prepare and send regular statements to customers, and follow up on overdue accounts.n
- Respond to inquiries from vendors and customers regarding billing and payment issues.n
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.n
- Prepare and process expense reports, reimbursements, commission reports, etc.n
- Assist with physical inventory count.n
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements on a regular basis.n
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including journal entries and account reconciliations.n
- Support the accounting team with ad hoc projects and tasks as needed.n
- Maintain and organize financial records and documentation in an accurate and efficient manner.n
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and comply with company policies and procedures.n

Job Qualifications nn
n - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.n
- Previous experience in an accounting or finance role is desirable but not required.n

Skills: nn
n - Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) is a plus.n
