Director of Human Resources of Läderach North America
Location: Dallas, TX (North America HQ)
Reports To: President, Läderach North America
Position Overview:
The Director of Human Resources will oversee all human resources functions for Läderach North America, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a collaborative relationship with Swiss HR counterparts. This role requires strong leadership, payroll oversight, and strategic HR management to support a rapidly growing retail organization with 51 Brick and mortar locations across North America.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent while aligning HR initiatives with company goals.
Payroll Oversight:
- Manage payroll processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely execution while collaborating with Finance for reporting and budgeting.
Swiss HR Relationship Management:
- Foster strong relationships with Swiss HR to align global policies and act as the primary liaison for North American HR matters.
Policy Development and Compliance:
- Create and maintain HR policies compliant with U.S. and Canadian labor laws; conduct regular policy reviews.
Employee Relations:
- Promote a positive culture by resolving conflicts, managing grievances, and supporting managers and employees with coaching and guidance.
Performance Management:
- Oversee programs for performance management, goal setting, and career development to align with business objectives.
Talent Acquisition and Development:
- Lead recruitment efforts and implement training programs to upskill and retain top talent.
Compensation and Benefits Management:
- Design competitive compensation and benefits packages and monitor market trends.
Data Analysis and HR Metrics:
- Utilize HR metrics to improve workforce decision-making and prepare reports on initiatives and retention.
Budget Management:
- Oversee the North America human resources budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to maximize impact.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
- 5-7 years of HR leadership experience, preferably in retail or multi-unit operations.
Skills:
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- HRIS systems expertise, particularly UKG and SAP.
- Ability to build cross-cultural relationships, especially with global teams.
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of U.S. and Canadian labor laws.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience working with international HR teams.
- HR certifications (SPHR, SHRM-SCP).
- Bilingual in English and Spanish or German.
