Human Resources Director (On-site)
Position Overview:
Our client seeks a dynamic and strategic
Human Resources Director to lead and transform our HR function. This role is pivotal in driving organizational excellence and fostering a culture of high performance, innovation, and accountability within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with technical expertise, emotional intelligence, and a proven track record of delivering impactful results during times of change.
The HR Director will oversee a broad range of functions, including policy and procedure overhaul, 401(k) management, employee relations, and the implementation of a new ERP system and HRIS. This role requires someone who can inspire, sell a compelling vision, and lead enterprise-wide change initiatives with agility and precision.
Key Responsibilities: - Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals to support a workforce of diverse skill sets in the construction industry.
- Partner with leadership to design and execute initiatives that drive cultural transformation and organizational development.
- Serve as a change agent, promoting innovation and continuous improvement across HR practices.
- HR Systems and Compliance:
- Lead the implementation of a new ERP system and HRIS, ensuring seamless integration and functionality for all stakeholders.
- Oversee legal compliance, ensuring all HR policies and procedures adhere to federal, state, and local regulations.
- Regularly review and update policies to maintain alignment with best practices and operational needs.
- Performance Management and Employee Engagement:
- Develop and oversee performance management systems that drive accountability and continuous feedback.
- Foster an inclusive and motivating environment to enhance employee engagement and retention.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and employees on complex employee relations matters.
- Talent Acquisition and Development:
- Drive full-cycle recruitment efforts to attract top talent and build high-performance teams.
- Implement leadership development programs to grow internal talent pipelines.
- Design and deliver training initiatives to enhance workforce capabilities.
- Benefits Administration and Financial Oversight:
- Oversee 401(k) management and other benefits programs, ensuring effective administration and compliance.
- Partner with finance and operations to align HR initiatives with budgetary goals.
Key Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred).
- 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably within the construction or related industries.
- Proven experience with ERP and HRIS implementation.
- Expertise in strategic planning, performance management, organizational design, and legal compliance.
- Demonstrated success in leading enterprise-wide change initiatives.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and high emotional intelligence (EQ).
