Role Specific Responsibilities Include:
- The purpose of an Electrical Controls Engineer is to increase company sales with design, development and overseeing all aspects of electrical control systems, equipment, and machinery. They possess knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within electrical systems.
- Develop electrical control panel design, schematics, and 2D layout drawings in AutoCAD Electrical
- Interpret mechanical & hydraulic design drawings for electrical requirements
- Work with outside sales team to develop detailed quotes and proposals on new opportunities.
- Research supplier products for assembly components and manage relationships with vendors
- Develop bill of materials
- Troubleshooting, and field testing
- Creation of submittals, training instructions, and O&M Manuals
- Review of project specifications to assure compliance with customer requirements
- Familiarity with loading PLC programs (i.e., Siemens, Allen Bradley, and or IDEC) and testing basic machine functionality.
- Project management and coordinate cross-functional projects
- 40-hour standard work week. Sitting and standing in office and production floor environment.
