Sales Manager – Americas

Member of: Commercial Team

Located: Toronto, Canada

Agri-Neo’s mission is to help safely feed the world. Our vision to accomplish this is to set new food safety standards with our treatments for many foods. Our first product line is Neo-Pure, which leverages our proprietary technology of liquid formulas and systems that apply our solutions onto spices, seeds, herbs, and nuts in food processing facilities. These solutions control pathogens such as Salmonella and other quality indicator microorganisms (TPC, coliforms, etc.) to ensure the food is safe to eat and to prevent recalls. We have customers around the world (North America, Latin America, South America, China, Egypt, etc.), including large mainstream food processors that treat food continuously at high throughputs. We are scaling up our products at more mainstream customer sites to ensure that we set new food safety and food quality standards to help safely feed the world. We are looking for a motivated and well-spoken Sales Manager covering the Americas region, to join our commercial team.


POSITION SUMMARY

As our Sales Manager – Americas , you will lead the entire sales cycle to close Neo-Pure system sales. This will include generating leads, developing, and qualifying prospects, managing the due diligence process for each deal, and negotiating and closing Neo-Pure system sales. You will be responsible for identifying new leads by conducting research and by attending conferences, tradeshows, and networking events. You will work closely with other functions like Sciences and Engineering on the team to assemble compelling materials to address inquiries during the due diligence process. You will develop a strong financial business case for each prospect, including detailing out the economics to generate a compelling return on investment. You will lead negotiations and contracting to close deals for Neo-Pure system sales. You will have a clear understanding of our products and be able to demonstrate how they work in in-person or virtual meetings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by achieving or exceeding sales targets and business goals.
  • Identify new sales opportunities. Coordinate actions to connect and engage with new leads.
  • Conduct prospecting and lead generation activities by acting as a thought leader, driving market awareness, and establishing relationships with industry stakeholders.
  • Actively reach out to leads by networking, cold calling, meetings, or other means of generating interest from potential customers that successfully convert into system sales.
  • Create and present a strong value proposition through sales proposals and product demonstrations.
  • Qualify leads to prospects based on required qualifying criteria.
  • Consult with cross-functional teams to build a strong business case and answer objections.
  • Lead negotiations and contracting activities to close Neo-Pure system sales.
  • Update records of lead & customer interactions in the CRM system.
  • Assess market trends and competitor/industry activities.



Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or equivalent with a strong technical background.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the food industry.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in the technical or industrial equipment industry.
  • Proven track record of sales achievements in a relevant market and leading complex, high-value sales opportunities.
  • A sales “hunter” mindset, strongly motivated by desire to win new business.
  • Strong business acumen. Proven experience in sales or customer relations.
  • Strong technical acumen. Possess a natural curiosity and ability to quickly understand food safety technology.
  • Passion for sales. Comfortable interacting with new people and companies.
  • Must have a valid passport and driver’s license for international travel.
  • Must be able to travel +50% of the time.

  • Sound presentation skills, both in development of compelling stories around technical data and presenting them at all levels within customer and internal organization.
  • Must have excellent PowerPoint and Excel skills.
  • Desire and aptitude to learn technical product features.
