Wright Construction has been operating in Saskatchewan since 1905 with projects ranging from British Columbia to Ontario. We represent the longest operating construction company in the Province of Saskatchewan and in the City of Saskatoon. We also have a satellite office in Calgary, Alberta.

Over three generations, Wright Construction has helped build this province. Wright Construction performs General Contracting, Design Build, Public-Private-Partnerships (P3s) and Construction Management services. We excel in a variety of commercial, institutional, mixed use and industrial environments. Each year we complete hundreds of thousands of square feet of retail space for various developers and retail chains. Wright Construction is a strong competitor in the institutional sector providing services to school and health boards across Saskatchewan and Alberta. Meanwhile, we are a Butler Buildings dealer and have erected approximately 6.5 million square feet of pre-engineered building space. What Are We Looking For?

We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Project Manager to join our team located in our Saskatoon office.

Project managers ensure that a project is completed on time and within budget, that the project's objectives are met. Project managers oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used, and the different interests involved are satisfied. This position is required to work in both an office and site setting. This position interacts with sub-contractors, Superintendents, owners, and consultants on a day-to-day basis. This position reports to the Director of Construction.

Specific duties include but are not limited to:

1. Organize and direct the project workflow with Superintendents, sub-contractors, Consultants, and Owners.
2. Manage the office project team and provide team mentorship/leadership
3. Create overall schedule with the Site Superintendent
4. Participate in pre-job planning/site layout meetings
5. Manage and control costs on each project.
6. Subtrade and supplier’s management.
7. Facilitate weekly subtrade meetings
8. Attend and participate in owner meetings.
9. Understand owner expectations and develop professional working relationships.
10. Schedule critical deliveries and understand critical paths.
11. Identify, review, submit, and implement all RFI’s in conjunction with the project team.
12. Review subcontractor submittals.
13. Review, collect pricing, submit, and implement all contract changes.
14. Monitor subtrade quality of work and direct corrective actions where required.
15. Organize and oversee all inspections and testing.
16. Understand and manage risk
17. Review site hazards when attending the job site.
18. Promote Wright Construction culture and ethics.
19. Demonstrate leadership in Wright Construction policies and procedures, including the safety culture. Promote education and awareness of these policies and procedures to work team.
20. Ensure subtrade safety paperwork is completed.
21. Attend monthly toolbox meetings.
22. All other duties as assigned

To be successful in this role, you possess:

1. Architectural Technology Diploma, Engineering Degree, or equivalent.
2. A minimum of 10-15 years' experience in commercial, industrial, and/or institutional construction.
3. Knowledge of all phases of building construction.
4. Experience working with construction of buildings over $50 million.
5. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
6. Experience in the following is beneficial, but not required: Timberline, BIM, AutoCAD
7. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
8. Experience with Estimating and Project Scheduling are preferring but not required.
