Our client is a trusted North American manufacturer with 300 plus employees in several plants.

Senior Human Resources Manager Must be Bilingual English and Spanish

Reporting to the Vice President, matrixed to the President of the business, this role is both hands-on and strategic; providing leadership to the people. Having expertise in the areas of employee relations, performance management, total rewards, employee engagement, learning and development, diversity and inclusivity, regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

Serves as a leader and credible activist for your clients, your team, and our mission; exert influence to create positive change for all our operations, locations.

Acts as a thought leader and strategic voice, working with leadership to identify opportunities then plan, execute, and evaluate strategic people initiatives in a multi-location operation.

Proactively identifies opportunities to enhance the employee experience and partner with management to develop and implement innovative and sustainable solutions.

Consults and coaches all levels of the business to build effective organizational structures and serve high performing, diverse and inclusive teams. Increase depth to our culture and cascade KPIs across the organization.

Delivers both strategic and tactical HR support and programs to employees and managers, including performance management, organizational design, learning and development, Applied knowledge state and/or Federal laws including FMLA, ADA, OSHA, FLSA, EEOC, WCB

Promotes health and safety in the workplace, manages workers compensation claims, and supports all safety initiatives.

Leads workforce planning initiatives and ensure effective recruitment, hiring and onboarding for all hourly and salaried positions.

Evaluate, analyze and ensure balanced compensation programs and all aspects of employee relations..

Advises management on employee relations issues, including the consistent and effective management of employee discipline.

Participates in or leads employee investigations related to employee complaints and suspected misconduct,

Builds credibility and trust among employees; resolve employee concerns with compassion and timely follow-through.

Consults and advises on talent reviews and drives the performance review process.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant work experience.

8+ years’ progressive experience in HR Business Partner and/or HR Management.

  • Functionally bilingual in English/Spanish is considered a must.
  • SHRM certification preferred.

Experience in multi-disciplinary, multi-site organizations is an advantage.

  • Previous HR experience in a consulting, project management and/or manufacturing environment is required.
  • Driver’s license in good standing, and own transportation to work from/support manufacturing facilities.
  • Applied knowledge of employment regulations in various states (ideally multiple US jurisdictions plus exposure to US employment regulations and practices).
  • Thorough understanding and hands-on application of internal and external HR principles, practices, and standards.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational development and change management is a plus.
  • Resourceful and self-motivated with ability to work in matrixed, fast-paced, ambiguous, and changing environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to assess situations and make decisions based on data while drawing from previous experience.
  • Demonstrated experience with coaching employees and management through complex and difficult issues, including conducting investigations.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence and ability to effectively partner and collaborate with all levels of the organization, to positively influence teams and outcomes.
  • Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; must be a clear and concise communicator.
