About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead and elevate all aspects of financial resource development. The CDO will be responsible for fostering a culture of philanthropy, creating and implementing strategic fundraising plans, and ensuring a coordinated approach to fund development. This role requires a dynamic and experienced leader who can manage a diverse development team, drive annual, capital, and endowment fundraising efforts, and provide strategic oversight of donor-advised fund and foundation programs. The ideal candidate will be an exceptional major gift fundraiser with a proven track record, an engaging leader with a personal commitment to Jewish values and community, and an excellent communicator capable of inspiring and motivating stakeholders at all levels.The CDO will work closely with the organization's senior leadership, board members, and volunteers to achieve ambitious fundraising goals that align with community priorities. They will also be expected to actively engage and steward donors, participate in leadership gift solicitations, and represent the organization as a key ambassador. The successful candidate will have superior organizational management skills, the ability to leverage data for informed decision-making, and a talent for managing relationships in a professional and effective manner.
