About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer to play a pivotal role in the organization's leadership. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and expanding fundraising streams, developing comprehensive fundraising strategies, and building a strong and collaborative fundraising team. This executive position involves working closely with the executive team to set and meet fundraising targets, identifying new funding opportunities, and maintaining relationships with major donors, partners, and institutions. The role also includes managing the organization's donor database, tracking metrics, and collaborating with various teams to develop and execute fundraising campaigns.Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 10 years' experience in fundraising, including experience in major gifts, institutional giving, corporate fundraising, and direct response. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of relationship building, be familiar with philanthropic trends, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills. Experience in a nonprofit, civic, or voting rights organization is preferred, and a background in working with members of Congress is a plus. The role requires a high level of discretion, the ability to handle sensitive information, and a strong commitment to Latino civil rights and social justice issues. Familiarity with Google Workspace and Salesforce is also necessary.
