A leading hedge fund is seeking a talented Paralegal to join their team! The team is composed of dynamic and talented professionals committed to excellence.

Base: $130k - 150k + Bonus + Benefits

Role Overview:

You will play a key role in supporting the legal department by assisting with a wide range of legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. You will work closely with senior attorneys and portfolio managers to ensure the smooth operation of the fund’s legal processes and provide critical support in transactional matters, investment documentation, regulatory filings, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation, review, and management of fund documentation including subscription agreements, investor communications, and partnership agreements.
• Conduct legal research on regulatory matters, industry trends, and emerging legal issues relevant to the hedge fund sector.
• Support in the preparation of regulatory filings and compliance documents with the SEC, CFTC, and other financial regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate and track legal documents for investment transactions, including private equity investments, debt agreements, and mergers & acquisitions.
• Organize and maintain corporate governance records, including board meeting minutes and shareholder resolutions.
• Provide day-to-day legal support for the compliance team to ensure adherence to relevant regulations.
• Assist with due diligence efforts on potential investments and fund transactions.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel on various matters as needed.
• Manage and maintain legal databases and document management systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience); paralegal certification from an accredited program is required
• 3+ years of experience as a paralegal in a financial institution, hedge fund, asset management firm, or law firm with exposure to hedge fund operations and regulatory matters.
• Strong knowledge of securities laws, investment funds, and financial regulations (e.g., SEC, CFTC, Dodd-Frank).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• High level of attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency with legal research tools, Microsoft Office, and document management systems (e.g., iManage, NetDocuments).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
