The Opportunity:


Our client, a fast-growing Canadian business, is seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Human Resources Manager to join their team. This is an opportunity for an experienced HR professional to influence company culture, develop innovative policies, and drive people strategies that align with our client’s business objectives. You’ll also partner closely with executives to ensure they can attract, retain, and develop top talent, creating an inclusive, high-performance work environment.


What You’ll Be Doing:


  • Business Partnering: Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on all people-related matters, driving decisions that align with organizational goals and culture.
  • Policy Development: Lead the creation and implementation of HR policies that promote fairness, compliance, and innovation across the company.
  • Employee Relations: Manage complex employee relations issues and foster a positive, productive work environment.
  • Culture Building: Collaborate with teams to strengthen company culture, developing initiatives to promote employee engagement, inclusion, and continuous development.
  • Talent Acquisition & Retention: Work closely with department heads to attract, onboard, and retain high-performing talent, ensuring recruitment practices align with business needs.
  • Performance Management: Oversee the performance management process, including regular reviews, employee development plans, and leadership coaching to drive high performance.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Review and optimize compensation, benefits, and rewards programs to ensure competitiveness and alignment with organizational strategy.
  • Change Management: Lead and support organizational changes, ensuring smooth transitions and ongoing communication.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure the organization is compliant with labor laws and regulations, mitigating risks and safeguarding company values.


What You’ll Need to Be Successful:


  • Leadership: Proven experience in a senior HR role with the ability to influence and guide leadership teams on strategic decisions.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to link HR initiatives with business objectives and anticipate future needs of the organization.
  • Dynamic & Adaptable: You’re not just about managing processes—you thrive in fast-paced environments, are proactive, and can navigate challenges with creative solutions.
  • HR Expertise: Deep understanding of employment law, employee relations, compensation & benefits, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments to support company-wide initiatives.
  • Problem Solving: Ability to address and resolve complex HR issues with discretion, sound judgment, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. An HR certification (CHRP) is preferred.
