Grants System Associate
Our client, a prominent foundation, is seeking a Grants System Associate to join their team in Boston, MA. This role will focus on day-to-day support, configuration, and championing the use of Salesforce throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in Salesforce administration and play a key role in the migration and ongoing success of Salesforce within the foundation. This position is hybrid, requiring 3 days on-site on a weekly basis.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with key Salesforce administrative tasks, including user management, page layout updates, new field creation, and general system maintenance following best practices
- Communicate with internal and external users to ensure Salesforce functionality meets their needs and resolves issues as needed
- Collaborate with the Salesforce Grants System Manager to deliver Salesforce-related projects, from design through to successful implementation, with proactive communication to stakeholders
- Maintain the Foundations’ grantee portal, ensuring it is user-friendly and easy to navigate for external users
- Troubleshoot and resolve user issues promptly and efficiently
- Create and manage tickets based on user feedback, “Salesforce Administration by Walking Around” (SABWA), or office hours, working with the Salesforce team to prioritize issues
- Manage third-party plugin access, including DocuSign E-Sig/Gen, Tableau, and Rollup Helper
- Perform data updates and adjustments as required by the organization
- Work with the Salesforce Grants System Manager and Grants Data Manager to develop quarterly training curriculums for staff
- Deliver training sessions to Foundation staff and update training materials as needed
- Create Reports, Dashboards, and Tableau Projects at the request of the Grants Management team and Foundation staff
- Maintain accurate Reports and Dashboards in Salesforce, ensuring data accuracy with annual filtering or manual field updates
- Analyze and report on key metrics in coordination with the Grants Data Manager to ensure alignment with organizational goals
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of direct Salesforce administration experience, or 2-4 years of Salesforce super-user experience
- 1-2 years of experience with Tableau Cloud, or a willingness to obtain Tableau Certification
- Proven experience managing Salesforce projects from discovery to completion, including user training and support
- Familiarity with SOQL and Apex, with the ability to run SOQL queries to gather data and solve issues
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Lightning interface
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with colleagues across all levels of the organization
- Understanding of Salesforce data model concepts, architecture, and security features like sharing rules, permission sets, and validation rules
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical staff members
- Critical thinker and problem solver who can diagnose issues and collaborate with the Salesforce Grants System Manager to find solutions
- Experience using business intelligence tools like Tableau to report on key organizational data
- Salesforce Administrator certification is preferred
- Familiarity with Salesforce Experience Cloud, DocuSign e-Sig, Gen and CLM, Tableau, and Rollup Helper is preferred
