Location: Kennesaw, GA | Chandler, AZ | Richmond, VA (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
Contract Duration: 12 Months
Compensation: $68-$70/hour
About the Role
A leading financial client is seeking a skilled Cloud DevOps Engineer to join their team. This role focuses on building and enabling core data platforms within Azure, utilizing technologies such as Databricks, Data Factory, and Data Lake. If you have expertise in Terraform, Azure Cloud, and data services, along with a passion for platform building and automation, this opportunity is for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Build and Enable Core Platforms: Develop and deploy Azure-based platforms such as Azure Databricks , Data Factory , and Data Lake to support enterprise data services.
- Cloud Infrastructure Development: Utilize Terraform for automation, ensuring scalable and reliable infrastructure.
- Cloud Networking and Security: Design and implement secure cloud networking, including subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and security measures.
- Automation Engineering: Build automation scripts using Terraform, Ansible, Python, or Java to optimize platform deployment and management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless platform integration and functionality.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Support system reliability, performance, and troubleshooting across cloud platforms.
- Ensure compliance with financial industry standards and best practices.
Must-Have Skills
- Cloud & Automation Expertise:
- Azure Cloud Platform experience, including Data Factory, Data Lake, and Databricks.
- Hands-on platform-building experience (not just data engineering).
- Terraform Proficiency:
- Extensive experience with Terraform for automation and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Cloud Networking & Security:
- Solid understanding of subnets, routing, load balancing, firewalls, and overall cloud security concepts.
- Programming and Scripting:
- Proficiency in Terraform , Ansible , Java , and Python for automation and development.
- Additional Tools and Services:
- Familiarity with Microsoft Purview and Power BI for data governance and visualization.
- Experience:
- 3+ years as a Cloud Automation Engineer.
- Strong experience in Linux/UNIX system administration.
- Experience in technology and infrastructure teams, preferably in the financial services industry .
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of data governance practices and tools.
- Exposure to large-scale, enterprise-level projects.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges in cloud environments.
