Job Description

Hire Type: Contract to Hire

Salary: $35-$45 an hour

Must have : 3D modeling experience

Job Duties:

  • Develop and update designs for efficient fabrication.
  • Analyze customer 3D designs and engineer them for manufacturability.
  • Create layouts, programs, and routing BOMs using SolidWorks, Sigma Nest, Sigma TUBE, and BySoft 7.
  • Modify customer prints to align with fabrication methods and standards.
  • Maintain consistency across design and manufacturing software.
  • Create clear visual work instructions for production.
  • Review project plans and update procedures as needed.
  • Collaborate with shop personnel and project engineers to optimize production instructions.
  • Assist production in understanding processes and improving workflows.
  • Participate in project meetings, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow safety protocols and wear PPE in the plant.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts and attend value stream meetings.
  • Provide flexibility to assist with other tasks when needed.


Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, including SolidWorks, Sigma Nest, Sigma TUBE, and BySoft 7.
  • Strong understanding of fabrication processes, including part layout, cell design, and routing.
  • Experience creating and managing BOMs and work instructions.
  • Ability to analyze and modify customer designs for manufacturing efficiency.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with internal teams and customers.
  • Familiarity with project management practices, including kaizen and process improvement methodologies.
  • Commitment to safety protocols and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt and assist in multiple work functions as needed.
