Position Overview: Join our team as a PC Technician, where you’ll have the opportunity to troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, support end users, and contribute to the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to desktop replacement project from Windows 10 to Windows 11
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on PCs and peripheral devices, working independently with minimal supervision.
- Quickly identify and resolve common LAN and Internet connectivity issues to ensure smooth user experiences.
- Apply standard diagnostic principles to resolve technical problems, using a blend of established theories, techniques, and innovative problem-solving.
- Document all actions taken in a help desk ticketing system, ensuring thorough records from start to finish.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with users throughout the troubleshooting process, providing timely updates and resolutions.
- Continuously provide high-level customer service with a patient, professional demeanor while working efficiently to resolve issues.
- Actively contribute to improving services, assisting team members, and proactively finding solutions to common IT challenges.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, desktop support tools, remote control tools, and networking protocols.
- Proficient in working with personal computing hardware and software, local area networks, and peripherals.
- Experience creating system images for laptops and desktops using industry-standard tools.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical customers.
- Ability to maintain high levels of customer service in a demanding environment, with a focus on attention to detail and timely problem resolution.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve technical issues quickly and efficiently.
- Self-motivated and able to manage time effectively in a dynamic technical environment.
- Adaptable and quick to learn new software applications and tools.
- Three (3) years of related experience in computer/network maintenance, desktop support, or troubleshooting within a Windows 10 environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to recommend effective repairs and workarounds.
- Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks, ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to identify and report inventory needs (missing items, shortages, repairs).
