The Application Engineer I assists in design, development, implementation, and analysis of technical problems and systems. Performs simple and routine engineering design tasks with standard techniques. Assists more senior level engineers and Product Managers in the preparation of plans, designs, computation methods and reports.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer requirements and performance standards.
- Prepares cost estimates of non-technical projects by studying blueprints, plans and related customer documents, consulting with engineers, managers, and other personnel.
- Maintain responsibility of samples; breakdown of the sample, pinouts, pictures and logging the sample into the system.
- Design basic AutoCAD drawings.
- Create Epicor parts which have been built or ordered before.
- Will have lite involvement with Sales/Customers, helping with new quotes and questions for the design.
- Responsible for questions or solutions from the Buildshop and Purchasing departments.
- Involved in non-complicated order process, which includes drawing checks and updates.

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or 7 years of equivalent working experience.
- Strong organizational and writing skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
- Proven ability to work as a team.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Previous experience working with CAD-CAM software or related programs. Both 2D & 3D Preferred.
- Completion of Improvement Project, which will need to be approved by the Application Engineering Manager and Director of Custom Assembly.
