Position Summary
The Director of HR position (Director of HR) will provide executive-level leadership and strategic guidance for the company’s HR operations. This individual will be responsible for developing and implementing human resources policies, procedures, and best practices while aligning talent management strategies with the company’s long-term goals. This position will oversee all HR activities, including recruitment, employee relations, compensation, benefits, and compliance. This role will also focus on driving organizational development and talent management to support the company’s rapid growth and integration of newly acquired businesses. As the company scales, this position will create a path to a VP of HR Position
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with executive leadership to define the company’s long-term mission and goals, ensuring talent management strategies support this vision.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for HR functions, assessing the organization’s success and market competitiveness.
- Lead the recruitment, hiring, and training of management-level HR staff, and oversee the department’s daily operations.
- Research, develop, and implement competitive compensation, benefits, performance appraisal, and employee incentive programs.
- Guide and mentor the HR management team, ensuring effective resolution of HR issues, employee relations, compensation, and benefits concerns.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other regulations and requirements.
- Maintain a deep understanding of employment law, HR best practices, and talent management strategies.
- Lead the integration of HR processes across newly acquired businesses, ensuring alignment with company culture and operational needs.
- Oversee the development of HR technology solutions to improve processes and support business goals.

- Ability to manage conflict, navigate complex HR issues, and provide constructive feedback.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess and implement HR strategies and policies.
- In-depth knowledge of employment laws and HR regulations.
- Experience with HR systems, data management, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Willingness to travel between company locations and ideally already located in Charlotte, NC.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required; Master’s or Law degree highly preferred.
- At least 10 years of HR management experience, including strategic talent management and business development experience.
- Proven track record of successfully managing HR during periods of growth, organizational change, or mergers/acquisitions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- Master’s or Law degree.
- Immediate availability is preferred but not required.
