Job Description
We are seeking a Systems Engineer to join our team supporting on-site national security missions. In this role, you will contribute to Systems Design & Architecture, Integration & Testing, Data Analysis, and Capability Development. You will engage in systems planning, installation, commissioning, site surveys, and troubleshooting to deliver tailored solutions for critical missions.
Working as part of a U.S.-based operations team, you will provide technical guidance and collaborate with international developers and engineers. You will play a key role in ensuring system efficiency and operational effectiveness while addressing complex challenges to meet customer needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain technical equipment, including servers and virtual systems.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, run diagnostics, and document resolutions.
- Assist in designing and developing internal solutions to meet customer requirements.
- Test and implement process automation systems to optimize operational performance.
- Support and perform site surveys, system commissioning, and maintenance tasks.
Required Experience/Skills
- Active TS/SCI with CI or FS Poly.
- Ability to support short-term international travel (5%-10%).
- 3-5+ years of Linux/Unix system administration experience.
- 2+ years of experience in systems design & architecture, integration & testing, data analysis, or capability development.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues.
Nice-to-Haves
- Knowledge of mobile telecom network architectures, hardware, and protocols.
- Familiarity with networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, NAT, routing, switching).
- Experience working with Python, Bash, and SQL databases.
- Expertise in Linux firewall and VPN configuration.
- Ability to create installation guides and as-built documentation.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
