Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Human Resources Director
to lead our HR operations in South Bend, Indiana. This on-site position requires a professional with a strong background in
higher education or healthcare , possessing extensive experience in
employee relations, conflict resolution, talent acquisition, and training & development . The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who fosters a positive work culture while ensuring compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution:
Serve as the primary point of contact for employee relations issues, mediate workplace conflicts, and implement proactive strategies to maintain a positive and productive work environment. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning:
Develop and execute effective recruiting strategies to attract, hire, and retain top talent. Collaborate with department leaders to ensure staffing needs are met. Training & Development:
Design and deliver training programs that enhance employee skills, improve leadership capabilities, and support organizational growth. Compliance & Policy Management:
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws. Develop and enforce company policies and procedures. Performance Management & Employee Engagement:
Oversee performance review processes, develop employee recognition programs, and foster a culture of engagement and continuous improvement. HR Strategy & Leadership:
Work closely with senior leadership to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required. Experience:
Minimum of
3+ years
of HR leadership experience, preferably in
higher education or healthcare . Skills & Competencies:
Strong expertise in
employee relations and conflict resolution Proven ability in
talent acquisition and workforce planning Experience developing and delivering
training programs In-depth knowledge of
employment laws and HR best practices Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
