Director of Accounting Location: Onsite Role in Columbus, OH Salary: $130,000-$150,000 Overview: A growing distribution company is seeking an experienced Director of Accounting to lead its accounting function. This role will oversee accounting operations, ensure GAAP compliance, and improve financial processes. The position partners closely with leadership and supervises a small team. Key Responsibilities of the Director of Accounting: Oversee accounting functions, including cost accounting, reconciliations, and compliance. Develop and maintain internal controls and financial reporting processes. Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making. Improve cost accounting systems for operational efficiency. Lead and mentor accounting staff. Qualifications of the Director of Accounting: 7+ years of accounting experience Distribution or product industry experience is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and ERP systems. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
