Position Overview: As the Director of Accounting, you will lead our accounting department and oversee all financial operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. In this fully in-office role, you'll manage the accounting team, prepare financial statements, lead audits, and work closely with senior leadership to provide strategic financial insights. You will be instrumental in shaping the financial direction of our manufacturing operations while ensuring the integrity of all financial reporting. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the accounting team, providing mentorship and guidance to ensure accuracy and efficiency. Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP. Manage the company's general ledger, accounting processes, and month-end/year-end close. Coordinate and lead internal and external audits, ensuring timely and successful completion. Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets. Prepare and analyze financial reports, providing insights to senior leadership to support decision-making. Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial performance and streamline processes. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, ensuring alignment with company goals. Stay up-to-date on accounting regulations and best practices, implementing improvements where necessary. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred). 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role. Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls. Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with (specific software) is a plus). Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
