Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Production Planner with experience in the food, personal care, or medical device industries. The ideal candidate will have advanced Excel skills, a strong understanding of capacity and scenario planning, and a hands-on approach to production processes. This role requires someone who is willing to engage with production teams on the floor when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize production capacity and resources.
  • Conduct capacity and scenario planning to identify potential bottlenecks and recommend solutions.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to schedules and resolve any issues that arise.
  • Utilize advanced Excel functions to analyze data and generate reports for management review.
  • Engage directly with production staff to understand workflow and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in food, personal care, or medical device production.
  • Assist in inventory management and forecasting to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean and Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in production planning within the food, personal care, or medical device industries.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, etc.).
  • Experience in capacity and scenario planning.
  • Hands-on approach with a willingness to work directly on the production floor as needed.
  • Certification in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) is a plus.
  • Six Sigma certification is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
