GP Landscape is seeking an Assistant Fleet Maintenance Manager, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our company's fleet. Job Summary & Responsibilities: Our company equipment consists of F150 Ford trucks, utility trailers, and landscape equipment ranging from riding mowers to weed eaters. Coordinate, schedule, and audit vehicle maintenance repairs to include preventative, mechanical, and electrical repairs. Prioritize and assign work. Control repair, inventory, and safety of company assets. Coach, mentor, educate, and evaluate technicians. Monitor technician work levels. Manage facilities to ensure a clean and safe work environment. Promote and educate technicians to have consistent maintenance practices across the company. Develop consistent oil change levels, transmission and rear end intervals, tune-ups, and radiator cleaning. Manage quality control when receiving new equipment. Manage all CARB testing. Interact with drivers to ensure their equipment is operating satisfactorily. Aid in recruiting technicians when necessary. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Class C license. Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office. Journeyman level mechanic. Proven experience in fleet maintenance management or a related field. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair procedures. Ability to communicate effectively with team members and other departments.
