Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and personable HR Generalist with a strong focus on employee relations to join our client's dynamic team. This role will be integral in fostering a positive work environment by addressing employee concerns and promoting effective communication. In addition, the HR Generalist will manage a variety of HR functions, including HRIS maintenance, onboarding and offboarding, compliance, and benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Relations:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues while maintaining confidentiality.
    • Partner with management to address performance issues, provide coaching, and facilitate conflict resolution.
    • Conduct investigations and recommend appropriate actions in alignment with company policies and legal requirements.
  • HRIS Maintenance:

    • Manage and update employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
    • Generate reports and analyze data to support HR initiatives and decision-making.
  • Onboarding and Offboarding:

    • Oversee the onboarding process to ensure a seamless experience for new hires.
    • Facilitate exit interviews and manage offboarding procedures to gather insights and maintain compliance.
  • Compliance:

    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
    • Maintain and update employee handbooks and policies to reflect current legal requirements.
  • Benefits Administration:

    • Support employees in understanding and accessing benefits.
    • Assist in open enrollment processes and coordinate with benefits vendors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in HR, with a focus on employee relations.
  • PHR certification preferred.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR compliance requirements.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
