Job Description

firstPRO seeking a highly skilled Senior Privacy and Compliance Consultant to lead our organization’s compliance efforts for privacy regulations, including CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and other state-level privacy acts. This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in IT governance, data privacy, and regulatory compliance who can act as a trusted liaison between legal and IT functions.


This role is an 18+ month consulting opportunity and has a hybrid work model in Camden, NJ.


Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for data governance, privacy, and compliance, driving efforts to meet regulatory requirements, including CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and similar frameworks.
  • Develop strategic frameworks for privacy, data protection, IT governance, and vendor management initiatives.
  • Conduct enterprise-wide privacy and information security risk assessments, including data mapping for applications, systems, and vendors, while identifying gaps and implementing remediation plans.
  • Enhance and implement processes for data protection assessments, issue remediation, and risk mitigation.
  • Collaborate with legal, IT, and business stakeholders to align compliance initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and deliver comprehensive communications and presentations for C-suite executives.
  • Act as the primary liaison for legal, IT, and business teams, providing actionable insights and solutions.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years in IT governance, privacy, compliance, and legal advisory roles.
  • Proven expertise in regulatory compliance, specifically with CCPA, CPRA, GDPR, and related privacy laws.
  • Strong understanding of IT compliance, data governance, and regulatory frameworks.
  • Ability to conduct risk assessments and oversee security initiatives.
  • Proficiency in developing strategic initiatives for privacy and compliance programs.
  • Skilled communicator capable of acting as a sounding board for legal departments.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and managing complex privacy compliance projects.
