Job Description

The ideal candidate will be involved in building and nurturing relationships with both potential and existing clients in the technical and manufacturing sectors. They will focus on identifying growth opportunities and creating strategies to drive sales growth and expansion within the assigned territory.


Responsibilities

  • Expand the customer base and consistently meet or exceed both personal and company sales targets on a monthly basis within the designated region.
  • Foster and sustain strong relationships with electrical contractors, distributors, end users, and utilities, including outreach to current, past, and potential customers. Regularly visit customers to build and maintain positive, long-term relationships.
  • Establish and nurture productive partnerships with vendors, internal business unit leaders, and strategic business contacts to ensure customers receive optimal value and support.
  • Leverage industry expertise to provide technical and practical solutions to both internal and external customers, offering consultative guidance on electrical solutions.
  • Identify, develop, and secure opportunities for remanufactured and reconditioned power distribution and control products (e.g., switchgear, HV/LV breakers).
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless and accurate processing of customer transactions.
  • Up to 50% travel


Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and at least 8 years of experience, with a preference for sales experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of various electrical switchgear and devices, including control products and electrical distribution across multiple brands. Familiarity with industry standards such as NETA, NEC, OSHA, and NFPA. Extensive experience with high-voltage equipment, up to the 230 kV class.
  • Proven ability to drive business growth and identify new opportunities. Demonstrated success in sales, including generating leads, closing deals, and building strong customer relationships.
  • Experience in sales within the utility and industrial sectors. Skilled in negotiation and creative problem-solving during business discussions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook), with CRM experience preferred.
