Job Title: HR Assistant/Coordinator
Div./Dept.: Human Resources
Reports to: Human Resources Manager
Work Hours: M-F 8:00-17:00 (1 hour lunch)
Working Location: Mooresville, NC
Working Style: Hybrid
Salary Range: $60- 65K base
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Assistant/Coordinator will perform HR/Administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the Human Resource department. This position may be handled by several Administrative Assistants and responsibilities will be rotated as cross training in certain period of time, or depend on team's necessities and demands.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintains accurate and up-to-date, the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Comply company policy and internal control procedures, and support audits.
  • Answers frequently asked questions from employees to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
  • Provides clerical support to the HR department. Create required reports for Accounting, or upon requests by other departments.
  • Administrate payroll functions including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
  • Administrate and maintain company vehicle leasing program, including ordering vehicles, registration and accident or insurance matters relating to leased vehicles.
  • Administrate employee benefit, leaves, OSHA and Federal Compliance Postings at all locations.
  • Administrate General Administrative function, answering company switchboard, incoming and outgoing mails and package, office supplies, facility issues, preparing and handling company events and guests, or any other administrative tasks.
  • Prepare or assist mandatory or non-mandatory educations or trainings, and create internal educational presentation.
  • Support hiring. Conducts or assists with new hire orientation.
  • Acts as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer applications.
Education and Experience:
  • Associate's degree in related field required.
  • Prior 2-3 years of Human Resources Coordinator/Assistant experience
  • Minimum 1-3 years of Administrative Assistant experience is required
  • ADP experience is preferred, but not required
  • Japanese skill is highly appreciated, but not required
