Accounts Payable Specialist Location: Houston, TX
Worksite Type/Schedule: In-office, Mon - Fri, 8 AM - 5 PM (flexibility for hours if needed)
Pay Rate : $25.00/hr. - $ 28.00/hr.
Job Description: We are seeking a highly polished Contract Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist with extensive 1099 experience to join our team. This role involves managing approximately 120 invoices per month and being the sole person responsible for AP tasks. The successful candidate will also assist with senior staff accountant duties as needed.
Key Responsibilities: • Process and manage AP transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Handle 1099 reporting and compliance.
• Collaborate with various departments to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Preparation and coding of travel and entertainment expense (AMEX) statements/activity
• Assist with senior staff accountant tasks as required.
Qualifications: • Proven experience in accounts payable, specifically with 1099 transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Availability to work on-site full-time.
The contract is expected to last through the first quarter or a minimum of 8 weeks, with a start date before the holidays.
