Job Description

Robert Half is seeking an experienced Care Manager/Scheduling Manager to join our client's team in a permanent capacity. The successful candidate will head a team of 6 scheduling coordinators, ensuring effective coordination and alignment of our team with the needs of our diverse clientele. This role places a crucial emphasis on successful people management, thus requiring a candidate with a proven history of managing and leading teams, preferably in a healthcare-oriented environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Supervision: Hands-on management of a team of scheduling coordinators to monitor day-to-day operations. Guide, motivate and mentor your team, ensuring they deliver quality healthcare services.
  • Training Initiatives: Develop comprehensive educational programs catering to the specific needs of your team, promoting their personal and professional growth.
  • Reporting and Analytics: Systematically generate and analyze performance reports. Use this data to identify trends, draw meaningful insights, and derive actionable methods to boost team effectiveness.
  • Financial Management: Take ownership of the team budget. This involves anticipating future needs, ensuring the allocation of resources matches these needs, and finding ways to reduce costs without compromising quality of service.
  • Performance Metrics: Maintain a consistent vigilance of key performance indicators, using this information to drive employee productivity and workflow efficiency.
  • Conflict Resolution: Act as the first point of contact for escalated complaints. Promptly, assertively, and effectively resolve these issues to maintain the high standard of service associated with our brand.
  • Patient Advocate: Engage regularly with patient families, keeping them informed of any care modifications and addressing their concerns to maintain a trusting relationship between the healthcare provider and the families.
  • Collaboration: Build robust relationships with clinical staff, ensuring all scheduling-related matters are identified and addressed promptly to ensure effective healthcare delivery.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of five years experience in home care staffing, with demonstrable success managing teams.
  • Track record of at least one year of supervisory or managerial experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrating an ability to effectively liaise between teams and provide detailed reports.
  • Deep understanding of legal and ethical considerations in home healthcare, as well as familiarity with industry laws and policies.
  • Strong, proven leadership skills. This includes the ability to inspire, motivate, and guide teams towards overcoming challenges and hitting targets.
  • A bachelor's degree in healthcare management, nursing, or a related field is considerably preferred.
