The HR Generalist is a highly visible, hands-on, customer-focused partner who provides support to our Fuji team across various levels of the business on key business and employee issues. The HR Generalist will undertake a wide range of HR tasks, including day-to-day front line HR Management, Recruitment, Onboarding, Benefits, Employee Relations, Performance and Policy Management, Employee Engagement and Retention. Located on site at Savannah facility.

- Be a trusted advisor to our teams, providing consistent interpretation and application of policies and practices in alignment with handbook. Assist HR Manager in ensuring HR practices are compliant with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
- Partners with leadership and internal support functions to facilitate a smooth and effective new hire on-boarding experience. Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation, benefits enrollment, and ensuring proper documentation is completed.
- Acts as the first level of support for employee relations issues and concerns, handling basic attendance and performance issues through consultation with leaders on established corrective action and performance improvement procedures. Assist with conflict resolution, employee coaching, and performance improvement plans. Completes investigations as needed.
- Handles teammate departure coordination, including logistical coordination with leader and internal support functions, exit interview meetings and the dissemination of exit interview summaries.
- Ensures that teammate information, such as personal data, compensation, performance evaluations, corrective action, and termination records are appropriately recorded and maintained, i.e., electronic filing. Act as backup to entries in the HRIS system.
- Assist with targeted leadership and other training in response to key areas of focus for leadership and their teams, i.e., creating and facilitating training initiatives.
- Administer benefit plans including enrollments, terminations, Open Enrollment, FMLA, and Worker’s Compensation. Investigate and maintain records of workplace accidents, incidents, and near-misses.
- Coordinate company-wide HR communications, intranet, benefits & policy communications.
- Maintain confidentiality and proficient knowledge of legal requirements and programs including EEOC, OFCCP, ADA, FMLA, HIPPA and other requirements pertaining to employment.
- Assists with the annual performance and compensation review cycle.
- Maintain executive payroll once monthly. Be the primary backup for payroll processing, including biweekly and semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, expense reimbursements, hourly-employee validations, and benefits changes.

- HR Experience - 5+ years.
- Working knowledge and experience in key HR functional areas of staffing, talent management, employee relations, compensation, and development.
- Knowledge of employment law, best practices for all segments of talent management, especially recruitment.
- Hands-on experience with COBRA, 401K, Large group / self-insured medical plans administration preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
