A boutique CPA firm in Manhattan is seeking an Office Administrator to join their team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of experience in the administrative space, with prior experience in a CPA or accounting firm preferred.
Salary: $70K - $75K
Hours: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Onsite: Monday - Friday in office
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to a team of accountants, ensuring adherence to office procedures, standards, and deadlines.
- Manage client communications, including phone calls and emails, and assist with scheduling and appointment setting.
- Oversee the preparation and organization of tax documents and support basic accounting tasks.
- Handle office operations to maintain efficiency, including ordering supplies, filing, and managing the reception desk.
- Assist with generating financial reports and other year-round projects with minimal supervision.
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative experience in a CPA or accounting firm.
- Familiarity with CCH Axcess Tax or similar accounting software preferred (ProSystem fx, ProSystem Axcess tax, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Comfortable working independently and managing the office as the sole administrator.
- Client-facing experience with the ability to implement new service models.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
