About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer to lead and manage a comprehensive fundraising program. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and executing a development plan that ensures the organization's current and future sustainability. This includes leading efforts in annual giving, alumni giving, major gifts, and planned giving, as well as working with the staff and board to identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts from various sources. The role involves overseeing all aspects of gift campaigns, serving as a primary liaison with relevant committees, and preparing reports for management and boards. The Chief Development Officer will also be involved in developing a planned giving program, maintaining relationships with various professionals, and coordinating events for donor cultivation and stewardship.Applicants for the Chief Development Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, a minimum of 7 years' experience in fundraising, with at least 5 years at a senior management level, and a CFRE certification is preferred. The role requires a successful track record in fundraising, knowledge of non-profit principles, and experience with a Moves Management system. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational, time management, and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders. A valid state driver's license, the ability to pass a background check and drug test, and a commitment to the values of the organization, including healthy behavior modeling, creating an inclusive environment, and continuous learning, are also essential.
