Pay Rate: $21 - $25/hr
Job Description:
We are seeking a proactive and customer-oriented IT Help Desk Support professional to join our team. In this role, you will provide technical assistance to end-users, troubleshoot and resolve hardware/software issues, and ensure seamless IT operations. As the first point of contact for IT-related concerns, your communication skills and problem-solving abilities will play a critical role in maintaining organizational efficiency.
Responsibilities:
Respond to IT help desk requests via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, applications, and equipment.
Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level support teams when necessary, while maintaining communication with the end-user.
Document and track support requests using a ticketing system, ensuring accurate logs of incidents, resolutions, and trends.
Assist in maintaining and updating IT-related documentation, such as user guides and system configurations.
Support IT onboarding and offboarding processes, including setting up user accounts and permissions.
Monitor and maintain IT systems, including basic network troubleshooting, software updates, and system backups.
Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring users feel supported and informed throughout the troubleshooting process.
Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field preferred).
Experience: 3 years in an IT support role or related experience.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and Mac operating systems.
Basic understanding of networking principles (e.g., IP configurations, routers, switches).
Experience with Office 365, Active Directory, and common software applications.
Familiarity with help desk ticketing systems.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
