Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships while collaborating with colleagues.
- Manage product deliveries according to a set routing schedule, resolving any issues that may arise during the order process.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding accounts receivable, working closely with credit departments to ensure timely collections.
- Utilize market intelligence databases and networking opportunities to identify and develop new business leads.
- Stay informed on market conditions, product innovations, and competitor offerings to provide added value to customers.
- Travel to visit existing and prospective clients, ensuring product delivery while managing physical demands such as lifting and carrying weights up to 75 lbs.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year of sales experience, preferably in the foodservice sector.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive approach to relationship building and cold-calling for new opportunities.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills, with a results-oriented mindset.
- Effective problem-solving abilities and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools, ideally with experience in Salesforce.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work Environment:
You will often work outdoors, visiting clients in various weather conditions.
Physical Qualifications:
This role involves frequent standing, walking, driving, and sitting, with physical requirements including lifting and carrying weights between 1-100 lbs. and performing activities like bending and stooping regularly.
