Join Our Team as a Territory Sales Manager!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As a key player in our sales team, you will:

  • Foster and maintain strong customer relationships within a collaborative selling environment.
  • Coordination of deliveries in line with the established routing schedule and effectively troubleshoot any issues during the order process, such as delivery mispicks, short loads, and stock-outs.
  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable with our credit department and clients; ensure that all balances due are collected based on established credit terms.
  • Utilize resources to optimize penetration opportunities and drive new account openings.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market intelligence, directories, leads from existing clients, and participation in trade events and organizations.
  • Stay well-informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitor offerings to provide valuable insights and services to customers.
  • Travel to visit existing and prospective customers to ensure optimal product delivery, which may require lifting and carrying items up to 75lbs.

SUPERVISION: This role does not have direct reports.

RELATIONSHIPS
Internal: Collaborate closely with the District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising, Marketing, Operations, and Customer Contact.
External: Engage with customers, vendors, and potential clients.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position frequently requires outdoor work in variable weather conditions as you engage with customers in the field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ideally, you will have:

  • 1+ years of sales experience, preferably in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with a knack for presentations.
  • Capability to build internal and external relationships and cold call effectively to cultivate new business.
  • A focus on exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • A competitive spirit and a results-driven approach.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and negotiation abilities.
  • A team-oriented mindset to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, and experience with CRM tools like Salesforce.

EDUCATION
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.

CERTIFICATIONS/TRAINING
Not applicable.

LICENSES
A valid driver's license is required, with a clean motor vehicle record.

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS
The role may involve physical activities that include:

  • Standing and walking frequently.
  • Driving frequently.
  • Sitting frequently.
  • Lifting (1-50 lbs) frequently and occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Carrying (1-20 lbs) frequently;
  • Other activities may include stooping, squatting, kneeling, bending, grasping, and manipulating objects frequently.

Compensation will be based on your experience, education, skills, and location. The expected salary range for this position is between $50K and $90K, along with potential incentive compensation.
