ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build strong customer relationships within a collaborative sales team environment.
  • Manage delivery schedules and troubleshoot any issues during the order process, ensuring seamless fulfillment.
  • Communicate with customers to collect accounts receivable, collaborating with the credit department to resolve any payment discrepancies.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities using market intelligence, business directories, and attendance at trade shows.
  • Stay updated on market conditions, product innovations, and competitor offerings, sharing valuable insights with customers.
  • Drive to visit customers and prospects, ensuring product delivery while handling items weighing up to 75 lbs.

SUPERVISION:
No direct reports.

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: Collaborate with District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Contact.
  • External: Interact with customers, vendors, and prospective clients.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work frequently in the field visiting customers in varying weather and temperature conditions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ year of sales experience preferred, especially in the foodservice or hospitality industry.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to cultivate relationships and develop new business through cold calling.
  • Exceptional customer service and interpersonal capabilities.
  • Competitive spirit with a results-driven attitude.
  • Problem-solving, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with customer relationship management tools (e.g., Salesforce).

High School Diploma or equivalent.

COMPENSATION:
The expected base rate for this role ranges between $50K and $90K, with additional incentive compensation.
