ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Build and nurture positive customer relationships through a collaborative team approach.
- Oversee scheduled deliveries and promptly resolve issues related to the order process, including delivery discrepancies and shortages.
- Effectively communicate with clients to manage accounts receivable, collaborating with the credit department to ensure timely payment.
- Utilize market intelligence and business directories to identify and develop new business opportunities.
- Stay informed about market trends, product innovations, and competitor activities, sharing insightful information with customers.
- Travel to meet clients and prospects, ensuring efficient product delivery and managing physical product handling as needed.
SUPERVISION: No direct reports.
RELATIONSHIPS
- Internal: Collaborate with the District Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager, VP of Local Sales, Accounting/Credit Department, Merchandising and Marketing, Operations, and Customer Contact.
- External: Engage with customers, vendors, and prospective clients.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Active fieldwork involving customer visits across varying weather conditions.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 1 year of sales experience preferred.
- Experience in foodservice, culinary, restaurant management, or hospitality is an advantage.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proven ability to build relationships and pursue new business through proactive outreach.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Results-driven with a competitive spirit.
- Effective problem-solving and organizational abilities; demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Team-oriented mentality to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM tools like Salesforce is preferred.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
The expected base salary for this role ranges from $50,000 to $80,000, based on experience and qualifications. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
