About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Sales to provide senior leadership in sales and marketing, fiscal planning, strategy development, and target attainment. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing sales territories and goals, leading sales training, and conducting market research. This role involves being a key member of the senior leadership team, managing and directing the sales and marketing department staff, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. The VP of Sales will also be tasked with analyzing market potential, monitoring competitive activity, and leveraging programs to maximize the company's effectiveness and case growth.Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years' experience in a sales leadership position within the foodservice distribution industry. A Master's degree or MBA is preferred, along with over 10 years of experience managing a complex salesforce. The role requires a leader who can set strategy based on customer business drivers, increase market share, and lead the team in achieving financial targets. The VP of Sales will be accountable for building and leading the strategy for training and development of the sales staff, as well as fostering trusting relationships with customers and directly managing major accounts. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales and marketing performance, be adept at adjusting activities to meet or exceed targets, and be skilled in collaborating with sales leadership to present major proposals to key customers.
