NYC banking organization seeks a Learning and Development Specialist specialized in sales-focused education. This role will support senior leadership in designing and executing training and talent development programs primarily for the sales team.
Hybrid, 4 days onsite, 1 remote
Hours: 8:30am - 5pm
Salary: $80-100K base
Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior leadership to plan and execute training and development projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery
- Conduct ongoing needs assessments and recommend learning solutions
- Design interactive training solutions to meet objectives and improve employee performance
- Oversee logistics and training plans for in-person, online and eLearning training
- Support succession planning efforts and contribute to employee engagement through internal communications
- Develop and distribute employee training calendar and training-related content
- Maintain and create training materials
- Create feedback tools such as surveys to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to tailor learning experiences for different teams and business units
- Provide project management support, including tracking milestones and reporting progress
- Engage with employees to assess training needs and gather feedback for continuous improvement
- Maintain knowledge of instructional design best practices and innovations, reviewing and liaising with stakeholders on needs
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, ideally with a background in finance or banking and experience with sales trainings
- Experience using online course tools and managing an LMS
- Experience with senior leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement
- Effective presentation and facilitation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with different audiences and deliver clear messaging
- Superb time management skills in a fast-paced environment
