About the Role

The Company is seeking a Managing Director of High Schools to lead and manage a network of academically high-performing and culturally affirming schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the schools deliver an excellent college-preparatory educational experience, with a focus on high academic performance and a safe, nurturing learning environment. This role involves executing the strategic plan priorities related to academic, talent, and equity initiatives, and the Managing Director will be a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the Chief Academic Officer and other regional staff. Key responsibilities include serving as the instructional leader for the high school region, developing and monitoring academic and organizational goals, and managing a high-performing leadership team to ensure the success of the schools.Applicants for the Managing Director position must have a background in charter schools, with at least 5 years of experience managing or coaching high-performing leaders in a results-driven environment. The role requires a candidate with a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 8 years of work experience. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in talent development, including the recruitment and retention of strong instructional staff, and a deep commitment to the mission of providing a world-class education to students. The Managing Director will also be involved in the development of the organization's culture and will work to create alignment and collaboration between schools and regional leadership. Experience in organizational culture development, and a strong focus on academic and talent development, are essential for this role.
