About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President, Clinical Development to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a key strategic leader, responsible for the clinical development strategy, planning, and tactical implementation of all clinical development functions. This role involves serving as the Global Development Leader for one or more clinical stage programs, with a focus on designing and successfully implementing clinical development plans. The VP will also be involved in regulatory interactions and building relationships with key opinion leaders. The ideal candidate will have an MD or MD/PhD, with a preference for those with a background in endocrinology, and at least 10 years of experience in clinical development or a related pharmaceutical capacity. A proven track record in drug development across multiple therapeutic areas, and experience with rare diseases, is highly valued.Key responsibilities for the VP, Clinical Development include leading the design and implementation of robust clinical development plans, guiding the development teams, and ensuring the success of drug development programs. The role requires a dynamic leader with outstanding strategic, communication, and collaboration skills, who can bridge clinical, scientific, and business needs. The candidate should have in-depth knowledge of the drug development process, including first-in-human trials, late-phase development, and product filing/registration. Experience in all phases of regulatory submissions and interactions, as well as a comprehensive understanding of GCP, ICH, and other international regulatory requirements, is essential. The role also involves mentoring and developing junior staff and ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly entrepreneurial biotech environment and be prepared to contribute their passion, creativity, and energy to the mission of developing life-changing medicines for patients.
